Jewellery components

Please do not compare our products with the cheapest quality wooden beads and shells that are made of plastic. Our jewelry components such as lumbang seed / kukui nuts, coco beads, coco heishi, wooden beads, wooden balls, pili nuts, bamboo, horn, resin and real shells are all guaranteed handmade and of the highest quality.


COCO BEADS

Coco beads are made from coconut shells. These can be made in different sizes, shapes and colors.


Resin


Resins commonly collected for commercial and industrial purposes in the Philippines are produced from almaciga (Agathis philippinensis) Benguet pine (Pinus kesiya), piling liitan (Canarium luzonicum) and apitong (Dipterocarpus grandiflorus).


Bone


Probably the most ancient of all bead types are bone beads. It's not too difficult to invision ancient humans wearing necklaces made from bones and leathers.


Pearls


An organic element, Pearls are classic when it comes to jewelry making. There are salt water and freshwater varieties but the latter are more popular because they are more affordable and come in a large selections of colors, shapes and sizes.



Shells : Can also be in different sizes, shapes and colors.


Available in whole pieces or in parts, shell beads are beautiful tributes to nature. Some of the more common shell beads are Mother of Pearls, Paua and Trocha.


Mother of Pearls is very popular and comes in lots of different shapes. It is available in its natural color, a sort of creamy mixture of beige, or in pure white, which is creating using a bleaching process.



Wood beads : Can also be in different sizes, shapes and colors.


These are especially useful in Jewelry that uses thicker stringing material such as leather, waxed linen, or hemp and though they become in an assortment of colors, the natural hues of blacks and browns are propbably what most people invision when they think about beads made of wood.

Glass beads


Beads made of glass come in a large assortment and, depending on the type are either man- or machine-made.


Crochet / wrapped wood:


This is also a wood components but patiently wrapped individually with string.



HAND PAINTED COMPONENTS:


These can be Kukui nuts, coco beads, shells or Wood components that are individually hand painted by our craftsmen.


SILVER PLATED


A thin coating of silver or a silver alloy on a metallic object, eg cutlery. Such objects coated with silver. We can also use Sterling Silver made in the Philippines.
